The Upcoming Repco Bathurst 1000

This is the first year with Repco sponsoring the historic Bathurst 1000 race. Repco is a major Australian and New Zealand distributor of Mantic performance clutches. The Repco Bathurst 1000 will be held at Mount Panorama over six days (between Tuesday November 30 and Sunday December 5) as the concluding race of the Repco Supercars Championship. Repco is the new naming rights sponsor, having signed a multi-year contract with the Supercars championship in August of last year.

The race will be the 64th running of the Bathurst 1000, which began as a 500-mile race for Australian-made standard production sedans at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in 1960 and will be conducted for the 61st time at Mount Panorama. The Australian 1000 event was held for the 24th time, following an organizational split between the Australian Racing Drivers Club and V8 Supercars Australia, which saw two “Bathurst 1000” races in 1997 and 1998. It will be the first time in the event’s history that it will take place in December, and it will also be the first time that it will last a week.

To guarantee the safety of all personnel and customers attending the event, Supercars and ARG will work closely with NSW health authorities on COVID-safe procedures and Public Health Order regulations.

Dunlop Super 2 Series, Porsche Carrera Cup, Toyota Gazoo Racing 86 Series, TCR Australia, Touring Car Masters, S5000, GT World Challenge Australia, V8 Super UTEs, and Trans Am will all compete over the six-day Bathurst event.

Our entire Mantic Engineering team is counting down the days until Mount Panorama comes alive again!
