The Swift was a massive step forwards for Suzuki, with its enhanced quality and enticing design. It’s a fascinating vehicle with lots of great detailing, including gunmetal front bumper inserts and a neat rear wing. The Swift delivers a pure economical hot hatch driving experience, with stiff suspension that feels direct and eager to turn in. The body roll is minimal, and the ample grip instills confidence. All of the controls are properly weighted. The Swift is also a lot of fun to drive, thanks to its strong brakes and eager nature. A firm ride means it’s not overly relaxing, and while it trails both rivals in terms of speed, it certainly feels quick on the road. The engine must be worked hard, but not too hard. When you consider the price and generous standard equipment, it remains a true performance bargain.

Clutch Concentric Slave Cylinder (CSC) Installation Tips

Concentric Slave Cylinder (CSC) Installation Notes

  • Do not remove the red clip until after fitting the new CSC to the transmission mounting surface.
  • Replace the transmission seal with the one supplied.
  • Follow vehicle’s original manufacturer instructions for tighten torques of the CSC.
  • The red clip must be removed before the transmission is bolted to the engine.
  • Do not manually compress the CSC, as this can cause damage to the internal seals.
  • Always use the correct hydraulic fluid specified by the vehicle’s original manufacturer.
  • Do not use a pressure bleeding device unless recommended by the vehicle’s original manufacturer.
  • When bleeding the system do not rapidly depress clutch pedal. Rapid pedal actuation can throw the bearing more than standard bearing travel which will damage the CSC end seal, causing hydraulic leak. Depress once, release pedal and wait for hydraulic system to stabilize. Repeat depressing procedure as required until pedal feel is gained and gear selection is possible

This clutch kit comes with a parts and labour warranty period of 2 years or 40,000 kilometers (whichever occurs first).
